This policy sets out the rules for using the Signeting platform, website, and Chrome extension. Violations may result in suspension or termination of your account.

01 Purpose

Purpose

This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") sets out the rules for using the Signeting platform, website (signeting.com), and Chrome extension (collectively, the "Service"), operated by NexString Tech Pvt Ltd.

This AUP is incorporated into and forms part of our Terms and Conditions. By using the Service, you agree to this AUP. Violations may result in suspension or termination of your account.

Who This Applies To

This AUP applies to:

  • All registered users of the Signeting platform
  • Anyone accessing or using signeting.com
  • Anyone using the Signeting Chrome extension
  • Enterprise customers and their authorized users
03 Permitted Uses

Permitted Uses

You may use the Service to:

  • Create, customize, manage, and deploy professional email signatures for yourself or your organization
  • Upload logos, images, and branding assets for use in your signatures
  • Use the Chrome extension to insert your signatures into Gmail compose windows
  • Enable optional signature analytics to track link engagement
  • Access support via Freshchat or email
  • Manage your account and billing settings
04 Prohibited Uses

Prohibited Uses

The following activities are strictly prohibited. Violations may result in immediate account suspension or termination.

Illegal & Harmful Activity

  • Violate any applicable local, national, or international law
  • Engage in fraud, identity theft, or phishing
  • Threaten, harass, stalk, or intimidate any person
  • Facilitate or promote terrorism or violence
  • Process or transmit illegally obtained data

Spam & Unsolicited Communications

  • Use Signatures in unsolicited bulk email (spam) campaigns
  • Send commercial email without recipient consent
  • Violate CAN-SPAM, GDPR, CASL, or India's IT Act
  • Use analytics tracking to violate recipients' privacy rights

Platform Security & Integrity

  • Attempt unauthorized access to the Service or other accounts
  • Probe or scan for vulnerabilities without written authorization
  • Introduce malware, viruses, or ransomware
  • Circumvent authentication or security controls
  • Use bots or scrapers without written permission
  • Reverse-engineer or decompile any part of the Service

Content Standards

  • Infringe any third party's intellectual property rights
  • Impersonate any person, company, or brand
  • Include malware, phishing pages, or harmful code
  • Contain defamatory, threatening, or discriminatory material
  • Include false, misleading, or deceptive claims
  • Promote illegal products, services, or activities

Commercial Misuse

  • Resell, sublicense, or redistribute the Service without written permission
  • Use the Service to build a competing product
  • White-label or rebrand the Service without an explicit commercial agreement
  • Commercially exploit signature templates beyond your authorized plan

Gmail & Email Client Misuse

  • Access, read, extract, or manipulate Gmail message data
  • Intercept, monitor, or redirect email communications
  • Inject content into Gmail beyond legitimate signature insertion
  • Circumvent Gmail's security or authentication mechanisms
05 Signature Standards

Signature Content Standards

Signatures you create and deploy using Signeting must:

  • Accurately represent who you are and your organizational affiliation
  • Comply with any branding, legal disclosure, or regulatory requirements applicable to your industry
  • Not include links to phishing sites, malware, or deceptive pages
  • Not contain legally required disclosures that are false (e.g. fake confidentiality notices)

If your industry requires specific disclosure language in email communications (e.g. financial services, healthcare, legal services), you are responsible for ensuring your signature complies with those requirements. Signeting does not verify compliance with industry-specific regulations.

06 Enterprise

Enterprise & Team Accounts

Enterprise customers and team administrators are responsible for:

  • Ensuring all users under their account comply with this AUP
  • Revoking access promptly from users who leave the organization or violate this AUP
  • Not granting access to Signeting to unauthorized third parties
  • Maintaining the confidentiality of admin credentials and API keys (when applicable)
07 Reporting

Reporting Violations

If you become aware of a potential violation of this AUP — including abuse, spam, or security incidents — please report it to us. We investigate all credible reports and take appropriate action.

08 Enforcement

Enforcement

Violations of this AUP may result in, at our discretion:

Warning

A formal warning and request to remedy the violation within a specified timeframe.

Suspension

Temporary suspension of your account while the violation is reviewed.

Termination

Permanent termination of your account for serious or repeated violations.

Legal Action

Legal action where warranted, including reporting to law enforcement or regulatory bodies.

Where practicable, we will give you notice and an opportunity to respond before taking action — except in cases of serious, repeated, or clearly illegal violations where immediate action is necessary to protect the Service or other users.

09 Updates

Changes to This Policy

We may update this AUP from time to time. When we do:

  • Material changes will be communicated to registered users by email at least 14 days before taking effect
  • The version number and "Last Updated" date at the top will reflect the most recent revision
